About Pablo Van
Pablo Van is an international self-taught photographer. He has been taking photographs since he was eight years old. His photographs have been published in books, newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, and as framed art.
Pablo has lived in The Netherlands, Southern Oregon, Washington and Arizona. He has traveled extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada, Iceland and Europe, and has studied at the University of Oregon.
One of his biggest influences was the death of his father. "After the death of my father, photography was an escape for me. When I had my camera everything else fell away; I was able to have complete freedom. I didn’t have to worry about judgment or what I was supposed to do. I have come to realize life is very precious and not to be ignored or unappreciated. When I pick up a camera I feel inspired. Photography has pushed me out of my comfort zone, taken me places and given me opportunities I couldn't have imagined."
Pablo travels every chance he gets. "I want to travel to new places, meet new people, have new experiences and get the most I can out of life. I know life is short and that is what drives me." Pablo is constantly seeking adventure and getting out of his comfort zone. He takes his camera along wherever he goes.
